THE BIG 5
The Highest Annual Honors of the EIMA Awards®
Every year, the European International Music Awards® (EIMA Awards®) celebrate excellence in music through four seasonal competitions:
Winter • Spring • Summer • Autumn
Throughout the year, hundreds of artists, composers, producers and music professionals compete in dozens of categories, with the very best works receiving the prestigious EIMA Awards® Gold Medal.
At the end of each competition year, all Gold Medal recipients become eligible for the most prestigious recognition offered by the EIMA Awards®:

The Selection Process
Unlike the seasonal competitions, The BIG 5 represents the final annual stage of the EIMA Awards®.
Eligible Gold Medal recipients compete against one another across all seasonal editions, with the objective of identifying the single highest achievement in each of the five major categories.
The BIG 5 are selected by a dedicated EIMA Awards® Jury, composed of experienced music professionals from different disciplines and genres.
The evaluation criteria for The BIG 5 are the same as those applied in the seasonal competitions (Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn), focusing on artistic quality, originality, technical excellence and overall impact.
The Jury reviews all eligible Gold Medal works from the entire competition year and identifies, for each of the five categories, the single achievement that best represents the highest level of excellence across all seasonal editions.
Only one Overall Winner is selected in each of the five categories mentioned above.
Announcement of the Winners
The winners of The BIG 5 are officially announced every January, following the conclusion of the annual competition cycle.
